LAI Wai-ki

Mr. LAI Wai-ki is the Assistant Director of the Corruption Prevention Department of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) in Hong Kong. With nearly two decades of dedicated service in the anti-corruption field, he has played a pivotal role in investigating corruption complaints, conducting prevention reviews, and driving sector-specific integrity campaigns across sectors such as finance, construction, medical, and tourism.
Mr. Lai holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Structural Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London, and a Master’s degree in Corporate Governance from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is a Chartered Engineer, a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, an NEC4 Accredited Project Manager, and an Associate of both The Chartered Governance Institute and The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute.
His core responsibilities include leading corruption prevention reviews, spearheading research and strategy development, coordinating integrity campaigns, and providing training and guidance on governance and preventive measures.
